Fix a mask that loses its target
Atualizado em 22 de jul. de 2026
Tracking follows each subject through the footage, but fast motion, occlusion, or a subject leaving and re-entering the frame can break a track.
Connect or split ranges
When one person ends up split across two tracks, connect the ranges and they become a single target with one mask setting. When two people were merged into one track by mistake, split the range at the point where it goes wrong. One correction carries through the whole shot; you do not repeat it frame by frame.
Review the flagged moments
When the AI is not sure two appearances are the same person, it flags the moment for review instead of guessing silently. Walking through those flags is the fastest way to find every break in a long video.
Add margin time
If a mask appears a beat late or drops a beat early, add margin seconds. The mask is extended before and after the tracked range, which absorbs small timing misses at cuts and fast entrances.
When tracking cannot be fixed
For rare shots that defeat tracking, draw a manual region and animate it with keyframes; see the keyframe article for the full workflow.
