Trouble signing in

Most sign-in problems come down to one of four causes. Work through them in order.

1. Wrong sign-in method

If you signed up with Google, use Continue with Google every time; the email form will not know that account. The reverse also applies: an email-and-password account cannot sign in through Google.

2. Forgotten password

Use the password reset link on the sign-in page. The reset email can take a minute; check spam if it does not arrive.

3. Stale browser state

A leftover session can block a fresh sign-in. Try a private window first; if that works, clear the site cookies in your normal window.

4. Typo in the email

Sign-up typos happen. If the reset email never arrives at your address, you may have registered a variant spelling; contact support and mention both spellings.
