Before choosing a file

Check the input format and size separately from the output format and resolution. Successful upload does not make every export option available.

Photos

Use JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC photos. Choose an output format in Export. For a transparent background, select PNG and check transparency in the saved file. JPG does not preserve transparency.

Videos

You can upload common video files including MP4 and MOV. A supported extension can still contain an incompatible codec or damaged data. Check that the original plays, then try an MP4/H.264 copy if needed. Reduce a video before uploading if its longest side exceeds 3,840 pixels. Free video uploads allow a longest side of up to 1,920 pixels; also check the plan limit shown during upload.

File size and plans

The current pricing page lists per-file photo and video upload limits of 1GB for Free, 2GB for Starter, 5GB for Pro, and 10GB for Business. PDFs have a separate, smaller limit. Check the upload message for the actual limit on a legacy plan or your account. Upload size is separate from exported video duration and resolution limits.

PDFs

The PDF upload interface displays a maximum file size of 50MB. Scanned PDFs can be uploaded, but you must review each page and manually cover missed information. For page-count, password, or damaged-file messages, follow the PDF troubleshooting guide.

Prepare a rejected file again

Check its type, size, page count, and the exact error message. Confirm that the original opens normally, then split or re-save it as needed. Renaming an extension does not convert a file.
