Which personal information is detected automatically?

Detection finds text such as names, email addresses and phone numbers, as well as faces and license plates in embedded images. It will not find every piece of personal information, so review both the detection list and each page.

Can I correct a detection or add a missed area?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Exclude a detected item from redaction or draw an area directly on the page. Check for any additional details, such as account numbers, that you need to hide before exporting.

Can I use different effects for text and faces?

Accepted Answer

You can set effects for text and manually drawn areas separately from faces and license plates. Blur, pixelation and solid fill are available; solid fill supports black, white and gray.

How does solid redaction differ from blur or pixelation?

Accepted Answer

Solid redaction removes content in the selected area. Blur and pixelation work differently, so do not treat them as equivalent effects. Before sharing, open the exported PDF and check that the information you need to hide is covered.

Does downloading the result delete the original?

Exporting is separate from deleting the original. You download a separate PDF of the result. To delete stored projects and files, remove them from the dashboard.

Can I try it for free without signing up?

You can try editing PDFs without signing up. Downloading requires a free account, and free exports include a watermark. Review the redaction results on each page before exporting.

How are uploaded files stored and used?

Files saved to your account are kept until you delete them. Deleting a project also deletes its originals and results. Internal access is restricted to staff who need it for their work. Files are processed only to provide the service.
